About Unity Foundation
The Unity Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation founded by two sportsmen, Xavier Clarke and Allan Murray to inspire Australians to reach their potential and develop a hunger to achieve their life long goals through the teachings of indigenous people.
The concept of the Unity Foundation originated in mid 2003 when Xavier and Allan met with the Lighthouse Foundation's founder Susan Barton. Susan and the Lighthouse Foundation openly welcomed indigenous culture, and set about supporting Xavier and Allan to establish the first Indigenous Lighthouse.
Not content with the time and effort this takes out of an already busy life, Xavier and Allan began to look for further opportunities to help advance the wellbeing and personal development of people in their community. The aspirations of these two young indigenous men resulted in the development of inclusive programs which seek to have a positive impact on their participants.
Unity Foundation's programs, developed in consultation with elders, youth, psychologists, youth workers and educators, spread across a broad spectrum of activities from the arts through youth services to tribal and racial identity and eventually to a program which will aims to see communities take control of their own destiny.
Unity programs require funding to achieve their goals. So get on board and help the Unity Foundation make a difference in our community.
